Minor Assignments - 20% MajorAssignments - 40%

Class Rules:

  • Please do not chew gum or eat candy in the classroom. Gum MAY be allowed on Fridays at my discretion.
  • Keep water bottles away from the computers - spilled water can kill a computer. No juice, gatorade or flavored water is permitted.
  • Respect yourself and me - I and your classmates will show you the same kind of respect that you show. This includes remaining quiet while I or another is speaking or asking a question.
  • Remain in your assigned seat. Many times I will take attendance based on a head count as opposed to calling the roll.
  • Please do not be insulted if I do not remember your name or call you by the wrong name. I only see the back of your head during the majority of the period. It's hard to remember the names of 175+ students when I can't see your faces on a regular basis. I'll often call on a student by using his or her computer number, know what that number is. It is located on the monitor.
  • Complete your daily starter on time. These are timed questions. When your time is up, you will not be able to access the questions.
  • Typing practice is part of your daily routine. 7th and 8th graders will spend a minimum of 10 minutes Monday thru Thursday in UltraKey and 30 minutes on Friday. 6th graders will practice typing 10 minutes Mon,Wed, & Thursday and 30 minutes on Tuesday and Friday.
  • Maintain a positive attitude. Technology does not always work the way we want. Be patient.
  • Stay AWAY from INAPPROPRIATE websites this is the quickest way to lose the privilege of using the computer. You will also find yourself with a Conduct Referrel and a possible visit with your Assistant Principal.
